JOTA
ROJANA
This
festival dance from Nabua, Camarines Sur,
has some similarities with the Areuana
dance from Iloilo. It is performed in some social gathering like weddings
and Baptismal parties. Usually, the old people start the dance, followed by the
younger ones. Dancing couples follow one another, varying figures.
Costume
Girl
wears patadyong and camisa or kimona and Boy wears barong tagalog and white
trousers.

is divided into four parts: A, B, C and D.
Count
Count
one, two, three to a measure or one, two, three, four, five, six to two
measures.
Formation
Partners
stand facing each other about six feet apart. When facing audience, Girl stands
at partner’s right side. One or more pairs may take part.
