BAILE SORSOGEŇA

BAILE SORSOGEŇA

            This dance as the title is a very popular dance in Sorsogon. It is very much enjoyed during their social gatherings. The Sorsogeňas are very sociable people. They are also known as very good singers. Dance researchers can be very well be proud of many dances they have contributed for dissemination throughout the country through seminars and workshops.

COSTUMES:               Girl and Boy Any formal attire
MUSIC:                      2/4 & ¾ rhythms composed of A, B and C

Waltz step                            - step R (ct.1), close step L to R (ct.2); step R (ct. 3
Engaño with a waltz         - step R sideward (cts.1, 2); cross & step L across R (ct.3);
step R sideward (ct.1) a waltz close L to R (ct. 2); step R (ct. 3)
Habanera step                   - Step R (ct.1) close L to R (ct.2) step R (ct. and)
